Dr. Janet Surum

Dr. Janet Surum is a researcher and an Educational Psychologist with a keen interest in the well being of children, youth mental health, resilience, emerging adults and life span development studies.

She is  a lecturer and the Head of Department, Psychology and Foundations, at the University of Kabianga. She has published multiple research articles on resilience, Mental Health and Socio-Contextual predictors of Academic Resilience among high school students in Turkana County, Kenya. Outside of work, Dr. Surum is an avid book reader and enjoys swimming.
