Ammon is the Project Lead for the Shamiri Intervention and Programs Coordinator at TINADA, where he drives impactful health initiatives. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health and a Diploma in Community Health and Development. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Additionally, he has completed several specialized courses at the University of Washington, focusing on leadership, project management, and global health topics.
Ammon began his career at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) in 2013. He quickly progressed through roles such as Field Officer, Qualitative and Quantitative Research Officer, and Project Coordinator. He has led significant projects for organizations like Family Health International (FHI360) and served as a Project Consultant for AMREF Kenya. A key achievement includes his role as Assistant Lead Project Coordinator for the SMART DAPPER study, which addressed Depression and PTSD among 2,710 primary care patients in Kisumu County, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). At TINADA, Ammon initially served as a board member before becoming Board Chairperson and later joining the management team.
